In our previous report, we observed that retail traders shifted to aggressive selling. Now, the market has reversed, taking them out and turning them into buyers once again.

When the market requires significant volume, it often drives retail traders into the aggressive side—but only when it detects that retail traders haven’t already positioned themselves there.

In the highlighted section of this image, retail traders predominantly took buy trades. How long did they hold those positions? Until the market accumulated enough volume to flip buyers into sellers.

During the last bullish swing, I noticed many traders getting liquidated one after another. They believed that after the breakdown, XAUUSD was bearish and expected to profit from a minor pullback. However, what happened? That minor pullback turned into the first major upside swing of 2025!

As we have mentioned before at Global FXS, our mission is to broaden your perspective and illuminate the often murky world of trading. Be cautious with every step and trade you make in the forex market.

What Is Real Order Flow and Why Should We Consider It an Edge in Trading?

When we talk about real order flow in the forex market, some traders mistakenly think it refers to trading volume or something similar, but that’s not the case!

This data is gathered from multiple forex brokers and is targeted at retail traders, not large traders with millions of dollars in their accounts!

The purpose of this data is to understand how the market can influence the emotions and decisions of retail traders!

The total number of retail traders participating in our Order Flow Tracker is approximately 100,000.
